Brief: Ah…the game everyone has been waiting for on the PC platform (including me). Spore is just released on the PC. So, here is the mini-me version of Spore on NDS. Don’t know what are really the difference. Perhaps this one is more like creating creatures and playing with them a bit only. Unlike the PC version that have a lot of other strategy elements which is too big to be duplicated into tiny mini little NDS. Will Wright is gaming god…let’s see if he can maintain this status with Spore.

Brief: Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (also known as Advance Wars: Dark Conflict) is the follow-up to Advance Wars series. The second game on the NDS console if not mistaken. I like Advance Wars a lot. I have played the first in Gameboy and followed it up to NDS and now Days of Ruin. The problem is, this particular game ruins (no puns intended) everything for me. It is the weakest of all Advance Wars games. They tried to move the game away from the Orange Star, Blue Moon, Green Earth, Yellow Comet and Black Hole world and characters but it actually did more harm than good. The simplified gaming system (without super powers) ruined it for me. I love those super powers as it add more into the strategy element. They even waited too long into the game before you get CO powers. I didn’t last long enough to get those CO powers as my interest ran out long ago. Still, a lot of people are raving about this game and it’s new approach. So, you just need to decide it for yourself whether it stood up to Advance Wars series.
Descriptions: After a cataclysmic meteor strike exterminates 90% of the population, the survivors must battle barbarians, disease, and strongmen who seek only to secure their own power.
Advance Wars has been reinvented. Set amidst a world in chaos and featuring new characters and settings, a gritty look, an engaging storyline, and online Wi-Fi battles and map trading. Try you hand with new COs and units, realistic graphics, and a new environment.
Strategy fans will rejoice over the long-awaited inclusion of Wi-Fi play, which adds depth and re-playability. Use Nintendo WiFi Connection and battle against a friend halfway across the world, or use the map editor to create, trade and battle on your own custom maps.

- Battle your way through a lengthy campaign through many twists and turns of a highly engrossing storyline.
- Exchange friend codes with a close circle of military geniuses, then declare war over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on over 170 two-, three-, and four-player maps . You can communicate with each other using full voice chat!
- Pit your skill against the world as you take on random players on over 170 maps. You can choose to fight against people of your own skill level or engage whoever dares try you!
- Use the Touch Screen to design your own maps, controlling every aspect from troop placement to terrain features. Use the stylus to paint and create your perfect map, then link to a friend via local wireless communication or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and swap your topographical masterpieces.
